    Pondering the End

Here I sit wondering what to say
Wishing I could take back that day
How can I say I'm sorry
Sorry for what I did to you
Is there anyway to go back when it was new
I can't take back those things I said
I can't ever redeem myself in your eyes
I've destroyed "us" with my lies

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
