I always asked for unconditional love
wondering if there were ears listening from above
laughter, romamce, and campanionship
all without words ever leaving his lips
open to something new yet scared from the past one
my heart took of my mind and for now he has won
I thought I had all that I needed
it's not done because of secrets
the first set to f tears fell
because of unprotected emails
kisses that should have been only mint for me were duplicated with another to be
I forgive you because we are not exclusive
my closet isn't compleely dirt free
now business is good and we have partnered up
along came some ungratefuls and now we are closing up shop
starting to realize that I'm a ride or die chick
but another you share your body with
I forgive you because my heart says so
my mind says I'm addicted and I don't know what for
I blame it on chemistry, karma, and everyother action word I can think of
I forgive you beacause we're not married
now distance is our factor while you go make money very far away
Kuwait to be exact while I learn to trust with pending mistakes
making up with love sessions and romantic vacations, and the same games is still being played
an anouncement over the phone to seal the deal in February
changing for the good and alot of unknowns
I forgive you, because we all make mistakes
and trying to find another with all of the better qualities
is a risk the I'm not willing to take,
I FORGIVE YOU

Another great poem. seems like a lot of emotion; some pian, some regret, some anger some fear and some unanswered love. Wow! It is hard to put such emotion to words; you did quite well in doing so. Thank you for sharing. And if it is your heart that

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
