" Friendship "

You offered me your friendship and
I accepted it.
You offered me your understanding
and I did not hesitate to take it.
You offered me your moral support
as I thanked you for it.
You offered me your honestly
as I appreciated it.
You offered me your advice
and I kindly took it.
You offered me your laughter
and I did not deny it.
You offered me your appreciation
and I was honored by it.
You offered me your shoulder to lean on and I did not refuse it.
You offered me your wisdom
and I did not deny it.
You offered me..."Yourself"...as
just being my friend.
And I did not walk away from it.
All of these things rolled up into
one is what makes you such a ....
.."Special"...and a .."True"..
friend to me...and...in my eyes.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
