    "Appreciated Moment"

    My days were my nights,
    I preferred death over life,
    Nothing really mattered,
Because my life seemed broken and shattered,
Friends and family tried to grasp my time,
But they were the least thing on my mind,
Love is what i tried to find,
Not believing that love was blind,
I winded up hallucinating and spying,
    On who and what,
The one who loved me so much,
And did everything in their power not to give it up,
But i try so many times to cut,
    Loose from what was tied,
    Bounded down and redden eye's,
    Weaken by my surprise,
Caught up in all my lies,
That i tried to live by,
    Given the signs,
    Claiming and what was mine,
    I proceeded to apologize,
    Guilt-fully I heard the cries,
Of them trying to take me back one last time,
    Unselfishly not thinking about me,
I gave not days but weeks,
Because within their had to be peace,
    Attempting to see,
    There no I in we,
    I made the call,
Receiving no answer i begin to fall,
    So I tried again,
Hurting besides I lost my best friend,
Pushing the keys I caught myself phoning,
    Feeling lonely,
    They begin to talk,
    Oh what an Appreciated Moments.

Good poem. Sounds like you've had some bad times. I would say drugs and rehab perhaps. I agree with the appreciated moments when they are found. I have had some difficult times of my own to where I felt I too had to "cut" my ties with this world. The only thing I can say is that I was lucky to answer to call and listen to what GOD had to say. Good Luck.

Thanks for the feedback and please remember that "Hardtimes never last long". KEEP PUSHING AND PRAY UNTILL SOMTHING HAPPEN.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
