"Look at me"
Everything about my life
is written on my face.
And the reflection that I view,
shows thoughtfulness and grace.
You see those wrinkles on my brow,
Their expression somewhat stern.
I got them from some worry
and times of great concern.
The crow's feet by my eyes,
came as I was unaware.
I was watching all the sunsets,
Forgetting all my cares.
And these tired eyes have seen so much.
All God's creations too.
Beauty, like the sunrise,
as it glistens on the dew.
My skin is lightly tan,
and weathered was the way,
Even came some laugh lines,
when days were full of play.
Experiences large and small,
made me who I appear,
But, my life is far from over,
come and look again next year.
is written on my face.
And the reflection that I view,
shows thoughtfulness and grace.
You see those wrinkles on my brow,
Their expression somewhat stern.
I got them from some worry
and times of great concern.
The crow's feet by my eyes,
came as I was unaware.
I was watching all the sunsets,
Forgetting all my cares.
And these tired eyes have seen so much.
All God's creations too.
Beauty, like the sunrise,
as it glistens on the dew.
My skin is lightly tan,
and weathered was the way,
Even came some laugh lines,
when days were full of play.
Experiences large and small,
made me who I appear,
But, my life is far from over,
come and look again next year.
