"Silent Scream"

I walk
Through
The
Constant
Crowds

(helplessly)

Not knowing
Whether
My
Eager eyes

Reveal my
Secret
Longings

To touch
And be
Taken by

A perfect
Stranger

To yield
These
Forbidden
Desires

And allow
The
Floodgates

To break
Mercilessly
Open

To spew
Forth
The dark
Lusts

And primordial
Longings

And to
Sip from
The broken
Chalice

Of half
Forgotten
Discretions

Once upon
A dusty
Memory

I should
Scarce
Recognize

My distorted
Reflection

Sanity cuts
Deep

Against my
Proper
Façade

Leaving such
Dark
Distortions

My twisted
Soul

Unrevealed
Unrelenting
Unresolved

Pained
By a

Chilling

Silent scream
