Raindrops in the ocean, or oceans in the raindrop.

Raindrops in the ocean, or oceans in the raindrop.

Thoughts as raindrops materializing in my head, some gently dropping on the surface of my body in quiet amalgamation, others rapidly and violently penetrating those boundaries, forcing their way into the stream of consciousness that thrashes my insides and hurls itself forward in a desperate search for greater depth. Where to go? In a domain defined by finitude, little particles can travel only so far.  Where is that profundity the raindrops in their very nature desire, no, require, so that they may coalesce in it and with it – their fundament – not simply to break away from their own solitary solace but at last to yield to the yearned for preeminence of the ocean and its insuperable unity. Do the raindrops not realize they are oceans in themselves?
