    Remember Me

I remember your eyes adoring me
as if drinking in my soul.
I remember feeling the warmth of
    skin on skin, touching, teasing
    anticipating tender moments
bringing forth the passion of ecstacy.
I remember your kiss and the
overwhelming need to be with you.

The desire to be in your arms and the
    light caresses of your tongue
causing me to tremble as your lips
    found their way to mine.
I remember soft whispers of blissful
happiness and joy as you placed
a golden promise around my finger.
    You spoke of togetherness and
    always forever and ever,
We dreamed of each other enfolded in our love
embracing a lifetime that waited for us.
    I remember loving you.

As we sit now, in silence,
    eyes never meeting
    Your words curt and empty,
    I wonder,
    Do you remember
    loving me

wow... such a sad piece, so telling of how some relationships end up, the almost angry silence that fills the space where love once lived... very nice write!

thank you very much, posting another one.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
