Ruined

I'm always waiting for the shoe to drop
Always wondering why
I wait for it, and when it doesn't come it only makes me feel that when it finally does, it will be worse.
I close myself off
I trust nobody
I do not love myself - in fact I loathe the person i have become
You have ruined me
Nobody else will ever compare to you
I will never love another person the way that I loved you
I have never known a love like that since you
You stole that from me
In an instant
You changed my world without a second thought
I wonder if I cross your mind
Do you know that i toss and turn at night thinking about it
Do you know that in the quiet moments, when the hot tears silently stream down my face, that they are for you
My heart aches for you
And it will never be whole again

if they only knew what they really do. Any thing left out too long will ruin. Don't miss the bus.

thank you so much. i really appreciate the input:)

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
