the wind blows on a cool scottish morning, smothering fiers dimm their glow and with them the memorie of the yester morn. alone i stand, amoung the tossing waves and grains of sand. i hear the gost of wistle wind and see her face with the haunting memorey of what could have been. there amoung the early mornings promises i feal alive and umbued with strenth! i live what my da and grand dad fought for i remember the blood soaked ground.

as the wind wistles over the iles, i feal alone with the great men of time. standing with my feet firmly planted i aspire that this will be my home what thay fought and died for will never be forgotten. the rain comes and falls down on me as red rose peddles. i am married to my country! to every blade of grass and every time forgotten tomb. every gost that walks along the silver moon lit beaches. waiting for their lover to return home from the seas cold dark grave.

see them now as in so much happy'ness the ship sets sail over the horison I LOVE U OBROIN! she calls out and as her words carry to the ear of her warror lover. he resolves in his heart that he will return to her no matter what heaven or hell may bring! those stong arms broken now and tatterd once loved her and held her body, jently with everlasting memory of her. as she dissipears from sight his heart fall's and he wants to jump over bord and swim to her with all his strenth.

but then he see's the rockie shore line. the everlasting green of the cost and the hopes of the people on it. the ones who long to stay free! who have given up more than he. he smell's for the verry last time the scottish thistle's in bloom and the warm grass rejoice'ing in the sun shin. the blue of the sky and his memory goes back to the little cottage where he was born. his mother laboring over her little garden and the love she showed to her husband. his strong embrace capturing her and carrying her up in the air after his return home from a battle.

will he now in the most needed hour, forsake his beloved country? the sceen goes to burning ship's and defeated cry. as in one moment all he cares for with his body die. one well aimed arrow will end this young mans dream's. as if his victor ment that he spend eternity roaming the endless seas.

love. lost and remorse even greator. where once a happy heart now a crator. will she ever be as happy as with the young man lost? shure fake happy'ness in years to come but at what cost. alone at night and fully in the embrace of the cold dark night, think back she will and with never ending langwish her heart it will kill.

our long and at times dreadfull past is our heritage. but love has never been lost, it is never ending as each new spring! it will find a way. look now as with long journy a small family embarks to new waters and a hope of great'ness but forget not your home land and skin so white silken and priceless. for your heart is where home is.

shure we meet people who run us down because of our color. our religon or political veiws. but remember our past and that will give us new sights to where our feet will find the new path. our heritage is a great one! but let our future be even better!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
