Secret tears

You taught so much about the streets
You gave so many things but my pride I could not keep
You took away my pride with the strike of your fist
And thought you could make it up with a simple kiss
I thought you loved me but I didn’t have a clue
I loved you so much I would have died for you
I gave up my pride and even my friends
I thought of them as petty compared to the touch of my man
Now that your gone I feel as though part of me is gone to
Deep in my heart I hate the fact that I miss you
But I open my eyes to see you so clear
I hang my head in shame to hold back my secret tears
You took something that I wasn’t ready to give
And you made my life heard to live
I gave you my all but you still asked for moor
And when I needed you in my face you closed the door
And for all the pain and all the hurt you put me threw
The shame and the crying I hate the fact that I miss you
But I open my eyes to see you so clear
And I hang my head in shame because I can no longer hold back my

I like this poem I feels like your talking from the heart it hot:)

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
