I'm no English major by any means. Feel free to criticize!

Shades of Love, a sonnet

Shades of Love

Shades of Love, some bright some dull

The darkest shade feels like a pull

Towards those who may just cause us pain

Why do we give ourselves in vain

Shades of Love, some dull some bright

The lightest shade makes hearts take flight

Up towards the sky on through the air

We trust this love without a care

Shades of Love, heed this advice

Find the shade your love suffice

For in due time a shade will call

Enticing you to risk a fall

With your shade you'll shine or bruise

So make your choice, it's yours to choose
