Shadow In the Background
Standing in the background
Not to be heard or seen
Only to have your back when your in need
Stuck out, threw out
You were thrown into this world
Not knowing what was in it
Blinded by the smoke and mirrors
You had to grow up fast
Always on the move
Not to slow down
Not thinking of what anyone has done
To get you as far as you are now
So as a forgotten shadow
Just to fade into the background
Not to be seen
But never out of reach
Only to help you follow through
I truly want to see you take on this world
For you to accomplish dreams
