So Cold

The world is so cold
god sent me to be the bold
love so sensual and true like gold
ready to give and done recieving
this life is so short
sometimes i feel the need to abort
yet im the guardian angel
the one everyone can see
ran over and used beaten to the ground
word for word bruise for bruise yet still i stand
spirit full where physical beings stop
for whoever may turn again a friend to the lost
a love one to the helpless
defient to the sinner yet forgiving to retribution
i am a friend to all
loved by less
but trusted by many
because i've been sent to keep the world warm

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
