    something was wrong.

    Sunday, October 12, 2008

I awoke this mid morning with darkness all around me.
To open the door as the coldness krept in.
There was a bright shining sun but i could feel no warmth.
A realization hit me then that there was something wrong.

So i stepped outside to look more closely
.At the world that stood in front of me then.
As the sun touched my face i could not feel its warmth.
There were leaves blowing in the wind .
And i could not feel a breeze.
A realization hit me then that there was something wrong.

And so sitting on my porch i begin to wonder about allThings that are dear to me.
I realize at that moment that there is something wrong.

    Something missing.
    Something lost.
    Something a part of me.
    What could it be ?

Confused as hell i go back in the house.
To face myself as i often do.
And looking in the mirror at the long older face .
Was like looking at only half of the picture.

    my SON was missing !

The feeling of unknown drawing to a conclusion. Good inner touch!

Write to me at litldeer1@netzero.net. I would like to talk to you more. I want to try to understand this poem in more detail. I loved it. It brought tears to my eyes.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
