    somewhere

as the wind blows softly across the ocean blue,
i sit and think how i miss you.
the miles between you and i are so many,
yet the distance from you to me means not any.
my heart beats loud and aches for you,
though your heart breaks and feels the pain too.
somewhere a heart beats as it is broken,
i can feel your pain from far as i watch the waves motion.
if only i could touch your loving face,
we together would be in a better place.
somewhere tonight a heart is broken and is crying out for love,
now it is my heart that can heal that broken heart that has fallen from above.

Keep writing...you hear, you listen, you feel.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
