Soothing Speed

Soothing Speed

The music is that of violins and strings.

It soothes my brain from a day’s long work.

Yet, there is something about it that is different.

The speed,

The speed is fast, like the sound of a baby’s heartbeat.

It goes faster and faster still.

The song still soothes my tired muscles.

I am being calmed by the rhythm.

I hear the music as I rest,

The soft humming of the violins.

I think that is why I am soothed.

Yes, the violins…

They are a sea of comfort and peace.
