I am not saying it was my fault
I’m just sorry we had to fight
So I am stepping up to fix things now
As sorry sometimes will make it right
My reaching out to you this way
Is not an admission of guilt
But I do respect your feelings
To preserve the bond that we built
Sorry is just one step away
To soothe the hurt real fast
Perhaps we can laugh over this someday
And leave all that pain in the past
We need not feed in the fallacy
That one’s right one should be wrong
But if we can agree to disagree
Our love will surely stay strong
So I have opened the door to healing
It matters not who started the fight
You may follow my lead because I know
