    Standing Up and Believing

    Another day without you,
I wish I didn't have to experience loneliness.
I'm on my knees praying to God,
I wish only to see you.

The good days pass by so quickly,
The past is already behind us, isn't it?
Memories are washed away by the ocean waters.

    Another year without you,
    I wish you were here.

With the sand left in my sandals,

    I draw out a heart.
It reminds me of the kind and loving you.

    A decade without you,
    I've grown up so much.
    Are you proud of me
    For standing up and believing?

    FAIL.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
