    STAR LIGHT

    Star Light

Star light star bright first star I see
Tonight, take me back to when their were
No children crying,no husband hitting wifes,
brightest star in the sky I bow my head
And ask you tonight, take me back to when
Neighbors loved neighbors, and friends and family
Was the best thing in life.
Take me back to when it was safe for kids
To play and go to school.take me back when
Drugs had no chance on our streets.take me
Back to when tere were no wars with our
    Neighbr lands.
Please take me back, take me back, take me
Back as far as you can. This is my wish I
Wish upon you, take me back even if it is
Only in my dreams as I sleep tonight.
    Just please take me back!

Your poem was awesome...How I miss the days of when we could all play safely in the streets and not have to worry so much about drugs or kidnappers or if our neighbors are molesters or not...Isn't awesome how one can express themselves with words on

Great poem. Loved it. Take us all back. :)

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
