stigmatized

I got a story that will surely make you sad,
For this story is the reason for me to be bad.
It was one day when I saw her face,
When I saw her, she was separated from the place.
For she was so beautiful,
That I opened my mouth and made me look like a fool.
I thought for a while and made a decision,
A decision that made a confusion.
A confusion to everyone’s mind,
Why I am suddenly to this girl so kind.
The real thing is that, I wanted to court this girl no matter what.
She was one of a kind,
And sure made me blind.
Made me blind to the reality that we can never be.
For she’s Chinese and Im a Filipino.
She’s heaven and im earth, but it doesn’t matter.
But I was wrong,
For my love for her grew strong.
For 5 months I courted her under the sun,
But it was worth it coz I had fun.
Finally, naging kami!
At 1st our love was like the strongest power,
Like the impact of the plane that crushed the twin tower.
As days passed by, then she suddenly said goodbye.
It was on December 31st that I was in thirst,
In thirst with the love that was my 1st.
Its been a year now,
But the pain is still here.
The pain that destroyed the do on my hair.
For I banged my head on the door of my room,
Thinking that I am doomed.
Now, im still loving her with no expectation that she loves me too,
But atleast my heart didn’t break into two.
Until now, I still remember the time when we were together,
Together in the new shelter.
Now, im thinking that if she finds another love,
May she be happy.
The guy better not hurt her,
For I will be the one to kill him for her!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
