Poem Commentary

Meh....summery mood(: enjoy.

Summer's Night

The stars were bright,
The air was cool,
The bugs were gone,
Just me and you.
Our hearts were light,
Your eyes so blue,
I realized that,
I was in love with you.
That Summer's night was beautiful,
But the taste was bittersweet.
It lasted for such a short time...
Then you left me.
With my heart broken and my eyes wet,
I ran away, to never again,
Fall under the spell, of a
Summer's Night.

This is really, really sweet. Also, I admire that you show off your age, which I think this is a very advanced piece for it. I love your writing so far!

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
