Sweet Death

love you are a lier to me
and why are your words pure pain

love what kind of word are you
you are represented by a heart
when all you did was break mine

the pain you give me
the tears i shed for you
the false beauty i see in you
and death the only relife to me

ah, death how i await you embrace
your sweet, sweet kiss
the same kiss of relife
to end that so hated word

love, love, oh how i hate your lies
your false promises
oh leave me, love, leave me
and let me wait for sweet death

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
