    Sweetie

Reminiscing those days when we will sit by the Ganges
Looking at the endless stretch of the Ocean
Prophesying our sweet love and dreams to each other
I have come to build my castle around you
The only image that forms in my memory as I stare at the door everyday
Waiting for your return in to my alms so we can continue from where we stopped
But only realizing that this is real: You ve bided farewell forever
What happened to our long love at the bank?
The promises to stay strong forever?
What do I tell your seed who cries everyday for you?
    That you ve vanished?
That you smiled to the colds hands of the almighty?

Wow - very moving...and quite sad.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
