    Tanks For The Ride

"Wanna take a ride?" you say

    I thought you'd never ask

I climb aboard and we're gone all day

I wrap myself around you tight

You bring me home under full moon light

    Anytime you want to play

You know exactly what to say

Look over your shoulder at me and grin

You know I wanna take it all in

I love it when you ride me fast

I'll even chip in for some gas

I'm hoping we'll be out all day

Whenever you look at me and say

    "You wanna take a ride?"

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
