    The Anecdote

This life is a daily movie, music provides the soundtrack,
sets the tone for every moment, erases any setback.
From this moment forth I'll play it from the opening of my eyes,
to soothe my cranky mood shortly after sun rise.
There are tunes that define every decade of my existence,
tunes for having fun, tunes for social resistance.
Tunes that make me smile or bring tears to my eyes,
Those introspective tunes that turn my head to the sky.
Music has gave me so much, grateful for the memories,
my favorites from '88- Kane past '96-Coolbreeze.
The only lady with no excuses masked as rejection,
criticized at times but always had a direction.
Without it how would I write or would I be a performer?
Would there have been Third Bass or Snow with Informer?
Would my twin and I have the same love in the streets, if we didn't make you think while reciting over beats.
Thank you music from Jazz, Soca, Hip-Hop and R&B,
from the drum to the horns and keys forever a friend in me.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
