The Bleeding Heart

The Bleeding Heart

In the darkest night,
You are there in my sight;
To guide me through,
and keep me safe,
to show me more than i can take.

I hurt you bad this i know,
I pray to God to make it snow,
Cause when it snows a smile appears,
Because you know that christmas is here.

I bleed inside and blood flows forth,
No amount of mending could ever change this course,
But still i pray and beg of God,
To mend my bleeding heart.

I promised you roses,
and i gave you weeds,
I promised you love,
and i gave you tears.

This is my last stand and My final plea,
Let me show you i can do more than bring you to your knees.
Show you life outside the box,
I ask for alot with one last shot.

I understand that i don't deserve,
but still my heart must venture forth,
to try to save what beauty it once had,
to try to show you what it crys out for is true,
and to hope to hold you even if it is just once more.

So this is my last stand and my final plea,
to show you everything that you mean to me,
Your forgiveness and trust i will earn,
I swear on my God with all my heart,
That i will live up to words i speak

So on a final note i say to you,
I will love you for life and will die the same,
these are not words of the brain but words of the heart,
and Each one was written with a bleeding heart.

Thank you. I wish she would of saw it the same way.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
