The Blood Pours

The Blood Pours

Tears fall from my eyes,
My heart is heavy and scarred.
Thoughts of you ravish and linger-
But the blood pours
  from my soul.

I see you in my thoughts-
   your crying.
I wipe your tears
And the blood pours
   from my hand.

Pain cuts my heart
Love is lost
Darkness surrounds me
And the blood pours.
My tears now begin to fall
  as I feel so alone,
   so abanded;
So hurt and angry
like a knife that cuts deep.

As the memories of you come to mind,
The heart cries out, the tears fall
And the blood pours.

WOW~! Very moving. That's all I can say...

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
