    The camera

    A tired song falling through
    the leaves, in the distance
the dim corrupted sound of gunfire.

    The battle had ended,
    now, amidst the debris, the
    killing began.

    The cameras explored the agony,
    the bloodied inert bodies
lying carelessly between the blackened brick
    and mortar. Photographs
were hastily taken of dead children
    and grieving parents for
    that evening's consumption.

    The camera doesn't dwell
    but moves swiftly on
    to new horrors,
    new deportments of death;
    a fresh conflict
    happening close by,
    filling the schedules.

I will never look at cameras' as I use to. Your descriptive manner has been well written and broadened the view of war. I liked this.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
