    The Forgotten One

It’s hard for me to speak my thoughts when I know there is no one listening. It’s easy to be taken advantage of when your voice is silent. It’s a never ending cycle of depression regret and aggression. There is no chance of being heard by people who feel nothing. It’s not to be forgotten by those who never look for you. There is no way to prevent what already happened. It’s not easy being the forgotten one.

    Good poem!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
