The Last Time I Fell
I almost died
The last time I
Gave of me with eyes so blind
And heart so pure
And conscious clear
Without hesitation, and with no fear.
But I fell hard
And landed flat
Fell too fast in love in fact
My heart, it shattered
The pain came after
The love was gone so the pain didn't matter.
And now I sit
On the precipice
Of love once again and I'm hesitant
It feels so good inside
When I look in her eyes
But the last time I fell, I almost died.
