The Perfect Man

The Perfect Man

This perfect man, too good to be true

he has a heart and its set on you

He makes you laugh, he makes you smile

He’s willing to go that extra mile

A happy ending, never say never

you really want it to last forever

He’s handsome and witty, you know the kind

like gold dust, he’s rare and soo hard to find

A perfect husband without doubt he would make

Trust your instinct this once, it isn’t all fake

again, again and again you doubt

always knowing you could never be without

He’s the kind of man that makes you weep

by saying you’re the one, he wants to keep

Go with the flow, be easily led

Be healthy, be happy and one day you’ll wed

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
