The Valley of darkness

As i sit on my ricking chair I notice a lonely man walking with a mission.
He is walking through the valley of the shadow of death.
I know this because this is now where i live.
This dark, desolet land has been a home to many of us not only in this life but the ones before and will be for the ones to come.
We gather to watch as he strives to surpass the elements.
Through the harsh rains, freezing colds, and the scorching heat that this valley has to offer, He makes it to the end.

To everyone back home he would now be known as the chosen one for what he has completed but home is not where he goes.
We sit and watch as he begins to make the long trek back through this valley of hell.
To those of you that havent made this journey you may think its crazy for him to enter back into this so called valley of death but, to us that live here we know why he does.
In order to make it through you must leave behind your soul.
It is sucked out of you by the cold bony hands of the valley.

The reason we sit and wait is because we have made it through and like this determined young spirit we have all returned to regain our souls.
Like a diver in the ocean we have all searched for that buried treasure which is our satisfied souls.
No one knows how long the search will go on but i will say this...

With every soulless man that returns to our prison, we are that much closer to being set free...
