    The Void

Wrap me up, spit me out. Was I just your disease?
To fill the void you had inside you took so much from me
You took my love. You my trust. You took my charity
Everything you stood for is now just history
You used me, abused me, wore my heart on your sleeve
You drug me through the ashes of your misery

Gone is your reputation, gone is you from me
Gone is everything I thought we ever were
but gone is not my feelings They still linger on
I am your void, we were the cord, you’ve unplugged us without a second thought

    Wow. Very powerful.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
