    The Waking of the Beasts

    a sneeze, a snore
    a whimper, a kick

dawn fills the room with muted light
she readies her heart to begin the fight

the children awake, and now its too late
for private reflections and poems to rate

its cheerios time and let's find the socks
she plasters on smiles, but the hugs mean alot

moronic monotonies blare from the TV
the life of an artist with 2 children
    plus three

I feel this one for sure, lol!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
