This is my prayer,
that I touch minds and reach heights that otherwise may never be touched,
I feel its a must to discuss stuff that normal conversation couldn't facilitate,
to set the captive liberated that in too many situations never rehabilitate,
to give hope to "can't cope" and illuminate the golden paved road devils hold gated tight,
tight like a rope squeezing the neck of innocent ignorance,
tight enough to thwart your present sense and hide knowledge,
that got us feeling so unaccomplished,
that got us feeling that these days criminal intentions may one day pay a pension,
Well, let me interject that in retrospect this dimension certainly may,
Its called prison or the grave,
I must say that without proper knowledge of one's self, past, present, AND future,
your use will only stay the same,
I remember working my fingers to grimy cuticles and things STILL wouldn't change,
I'd try to keep the job but they never seemed to keep me so would you expect me to remain sane?
its gotta be a better way, gotta be a better way.....
Lord PLEASE, show me a better way to provide for these kids,
to provide a life that a wife could stand right behind,
grind so my mother realize I wasn't 17 years wasted time,
from this side it's seems only trouble I find,
praying for a change but WHY,
rents due and a life of crime seems the only incline,
do you see? have you been there?
This is my prayer,
I use this craft to enlighten the mass of those that may feel the same,
only to join in unity until both you AND me can start to make a change!!
