This Isn't About Your Body

This isn't about your body
Though you sure look good to me
This isn't about your body
Though it keeps me in ecstasy
Time and time again I've stopped and asked myself
What kind of life would it be if you were with someone else
Feelings of loneliness
Girl,they gripped my soul
Now that I've got your love
I'm never letting go
Cause this isn't about your body
Though you sure look good to me
This isn't about your body
You mean so much more to me
Night after night you've stayed by my side
Even when I strayed
Your love was in my life
So now that I've got you here
I want you to know
These feelings that I feel are unchangeable
Cause this isn't about your body
Though it sure looks good to me
This isn't about your body
Though it keeps me in ecstasy
This isn't about your body
You mean so much more to me

I like this. I hope your words were appreciated to whom you assured your love. I appreciate them.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
