Truth & Consequences

Truth & Consequences

I told you the truth,
you took it hard,
and here I am all alone
and scarred.

The love we shared for 20 years
has been sentenced to death
and forever barred.

we will never be one again,
you and I.

You pushed me to breaking,
you broke my heart.

All because I told you the truth,
which is what you wanted from the start.

I dont know what I can do
to fix what I have done
I just need you to know that
I miss all the fun,
all the fun we had and
the memories we shared,
and I need you to know just how much
I truly cared.
