Two Souls, Two Roads

Two Souls, Two Roads

There’s a confusing thought how God connects
Between two souls both of whom is born from Him
One astray while another live by His Word
Deciding on each a separate road going distant so I’m told
Years approach how each take their lessons in growth maturing
Shaped by their wisdom born how opposite their experience behavin
One took a road hardly without guide from his Father’s benevolent caring
The other, a road in clearing, clearly so beloved to his Master’s preaching

Today I compare how their Father’s sight picture His Children
The first giving little any attention to a Book so famously written
Yet comes easy helping his neighbor in need responding to call in distress
Sharing a dime he’d earn and feeding yet a hungry stranger crossed his path
The Second who knows not but read and pray come each dawn a’ praising
Then so prefer the humble and noble and quiet suppressing to outside mess

I may never know how our Father may someday base His ruling
Lest from here I seem just a bit awaken
Perhaps between how our actions play serves more than a wealth of knowledge command
Perhaps how I may display a care is not hurried by so much tears shedding
Rather, a body set forth in motion, not mindful of dirty hands toiling
That maybe yes, could rinse a soul and benefit its purifying
