    Unspoken Love

It's crazy how a single person,
    Can turn your world around,
    Take away your pain,
And lift you off the ground.

    Her smile warms my soul,
    Her laughter brings a smile,
    There's not a thing I wouldnt give,
To be her's for a while.

To hold her in my arms,
And have her by my side,
    How she feels; I'm unsure,
    Because I haven't tried.

I know just what to say,
    And everything to do,
    All it takes is confidence,
    And the words,"I like you."

    There's really just one issue,
    She brings down my defenses,
    Just so perfect and kind,
    She overwhelms my senses.

And just like that it's gone,
    My confidence I can't catch,
Cause when I see her my mind goes blank,
    Like a shaken Etch-A-Sketch.

nothing ventured, nothing gained :) most of the time what you guys take for mysteriousness is nothing more than our own fear of voicing the unspoken :)

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
