Until SHE Came Along

Until SHE Came Along

We met, what seems to me , a lifetime ago
Our connection was instant, and inseperable
You were my world, best friend, and part time lover
Until SHE came along

We would run away for hours on end
hoping no one would find us
And when we returned,
we'couldn't wait till we could do it again
Until SHE came along

We made promises we swore we'd keep
With Pinky Swears and pricked fore fingers
I thought they were forever, set in stone
Until SHE came along

SHE came one day, and took you away
Somewhere where I couldn't find you
I moved on with my life, and you did yours
Until one day YOU FOUND ME

SHE was gone

We started anew in the most awesome of ways
And all I could think of was you, brightening my days
It was like old times, but making new
Until one day SHE, was someone new

So here I am, a doll on the shelf
Put up high once again
I'd like to be friends, but it hurts me in inside
To think SHE is the one in the end

I don't know why, but when I got towards the end of this poem "UNTIL ONEDAY SHE, WAS SOMEONE NEW". it touched me deep. Like I felt it in my soul. I like this poem. It starts out slow, but it turns into a deep reality. Love it girl..Keep writing. Much love God bless -Lady P.

thank you. it is real life, and i'm still healing.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
