Until Someone Listens

The road less traveled will remain that way as long as we live life thru the rearview,
Human beings are a primative species, mere infants to this world yet we act like our fate is in our hands.

In a world of false prophets, incompetent leaders and a shortage of minds to teach us,
Threats of a nuclear winter and the war to end wars i can see where one could lose their spirit.

I can't help but smile when i see a child who's happy and don't mind dreaming,
I was'nt born of this earth but i'll live in it's dirt when my bodies numb and is no longer breathing.

Politics and religion are used like weapons to intimidate and suppress,
Both made slaves behave and turned citizens out the rest.

Forgive me i'm just thinking out loud,
I did'nt mean make people think for themselves or light a spark in the crowd.

I just wanna leave this place better than i found it,
But there are no simple answers or easy ways around it.

I wish i could give you the world but it don't belong to me,
So i'll keep expressing my thoughts until someone listens.

thank you mam, i appreciate your comment

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
