    One day you were there
The next day I got a call,
I was hoping I would never get.
That call changed my life forever
And there is nothing that I could have done to stop it.
Your mom called me and said,
    "Tiffany I have bad news."
Right then I knew what she was gonna say
I almost dropped the phone on the counter,
But I regained my strength to listen to her
    "Ashten has passed away"
I was devistated from that day forward.
Even to this day I cry on that day.
I will always remember you Ashten
And I love you always and forever.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
