untitled
You look at me with those sultry eyesthin red lips hold back your lies
but I see through your disguise
that tone of voice that I despise
it's time to say all my goodbyes
you will be the cause of my demise
untitled
You look at me with those sultry eyesPoetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
