    untitled

    because of my intense desire
around my love became a fire
    leaping, dancing in the wind
and i, who had never sinned
    pleaded for a warm embrace
asked to even touch his face
instead he only looked at me
    with the devils mockery
    suddenly, the cold winds changed
as if somehow God had arranged
to ease the heart that could not stand
    the agony of love's demands
then i saw a leaping flame
seek him out to play his game
that passion that once played with me
    in the nights undying misery
i laughed as he called out for love
then watched the flames so high above
reach his heart that once was cold
and as his words of love were told
i knew at once without debate
my love for him had turned to hate

again, not mine but a favorite

I really like this. I almost didn't read it because it had not title. How about, "The Cold Winds Changed"?

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
