Warmth

Poem Commentary

Just some thoughts from my mind

Warmth

I hold the warmth in my hand,
A soft touch of feeling amidst a cold night.
The heat reminds me of lost feelings,
Lost memories to the sands of time.

Cold fingers of sorrow,
Forever grasping for the heat they no longer have.
The eternal search for something that can never be held again,
Joys of the past.

And even as I hold this soft warmth in my hand,
I know it will fade.

Leaving me to search for it forever.
To look for that one moment were all is right,
And the world is not cold.

Leaving me forever to search for the past,
Denying myself the future,
to search for forgotten happiness.

For there in lies the true loss of hope,
To know that which was,
And to know it will never be again.

i am glad you liked it, to me its nto realy a catch 22 but more foraking happyness in seach of somethings we can no longer have

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
