Weathered

    Weathered

Clouds of darkness, clouds of gloom
    Filling now with jagged doom
    Unclear malice--stormy sky
Waves of it that seem to nigh

Crushing storms that pound the same
Fleeting heights that cease the pain
    Time goes by--a chilly thrill
Restless nights that seem too still

Empty peace is not the norm
Calm in silence, calm in storm
Dead to living, like a cloud
    Numb emotion--passive shroud

    Lightning strikes--the heated bite
    Overwhelming left to right
    Strikes that blacken from within
    Bringing thoughts of freeing sin

    Unseen lightning strikes in dark
Unseen strike will hide it's mark
    Wether morning or the night
    Can't escape the heated bite
