What if I should die tonight?

What if I should die tonight?

Is my house set in order if death should come today?
What tasks would be unfinished if I were called away?
S'pose the angel told me, at early morning light,
Your time shall come this evening,
    You shall go home tonight.

Would the task of unsaved millons,
    Press upon my mind.
    The good I might've done,
To save 'em from unwanted peril.
The goods I might have shared.
    To alleviated their pains.
In my death, I am sure,
I should have certainly done better, than now!
