What is Poetry?
words that are in motion
with music or accapella
drinking that potion
til someone smells ya
I tell ya
coming from the mind
that teaches the blind
to make an ability
instead of mental slavery
it reaches the time
where we need to be

For some of us
it's heiroglyphics
To me, it's metaphors
The way I say things may be
better than yours

it can be unwritten
or whatever is hidden
inside your soul
but once you get in the zone
you might lose control
I roll solo
one man gang
this is what I do
it's my thang

The way I express
to them it's like a crime
I committed
to me it comes from the mind
that's gifted
and keeping brains uplifted
from all the times
being taking
based on the situations
were facing

Let your mind be free
you don't have to rhyme to know.......what is poetry!
