    Poem Commentary

This poem was about a good friend of mine. She did not realize how beautiful she was until I wrote this poem to give her some understanding.

    When I See Her

When I see her sitting there

    With beautiful long blonde hair

She would have all the guys stare

    With those beautiful lushes lips

That probably tastes like a sweet wine

Would let you think that she was fine

With a body that would not quit

I would be gladly be the first to admit

That the girl I see is so fine

But I know she might not be mine

So maybe someday in the near future

I can have somebody like her

    That has beautiful blonde hair

    And would always be there

So I can feel when she is near

To know that girl of my dreams

It will always make it seem

How lucky I truly can be.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
